Blog Post Week 14 1/2: The Reviews Are In!
After recording both my lines on Saturday and my friend's line on Sunday afternoon, I was planning to edit Sunday evening. However, I had one too many assignments to get done before Monday. On Monday, I did not have much to show for my episode either. I only was able to go searching for audio files that I wanted to incorporate as background music or as sound effects. Before going to bed, I did, however, make a plan for myself. Tuesday morning, I would wake up, make myself some breakfast and just edit. Do nothing else but edit until it is time for class. I did not expect to finish but I still wanted to have enough to show for our per review session. My goal was to have at least five minutes.
About 30 minutes before class started, I had 13 out of 15 minutes completely edited. I was completely shocked. This went by a lot more smoothly than my first audio essay went. I feel like that has to do with a better understanding of how Audacity works and more excitement for working on an audio drama than on an audio essay.
Both Brooke and Ryan enjoyed what I had and liked how I was planning to end the episode (the parts that I had not edited yet). Really, I just need to add in the outro music and then completely check over the episode before posting.
I am very proud of the work that I have done and should have the episode posted before tonight. I do not want to jinx myself but I have not found any challenges and see any challenges. My biggest hurdle was finding and recording the characters of Gale and Terrance. and that recording session went extremely smoothly. So smoothly that I am so proud of my friends Abigail and TJ and am so excited for all to hear them.
My only concern is that my other two episodes are as good if not better than this first one. I hope you all like it too.
